Notice-and-Takedown Process
True North Finds is currently a discovery-only service. Listings may include third-party product images, product names, descriptions, specifications, source excerpts, and links so users can find Canadian products and visit the original seller or source.
If you believe content on True North Finds uses your product image, copied source information, trademark, or other protected material without permission, or if a listing misrepresents your product or business, email us at .
What to Include
Please include enough detail for us to find and review the content:
• Your name, organization, role, email address, and phone number if available.
• The True North Finds page URL, product name, image, description, source excerpt, or other content you are reporting.
• The original source URL or proof that you own, represent, or are authorized to act for the reported content.
• Whether you are asking us to remove the content, replace an image, correct the information, add attribution, change a source link, or stop listing the product.
• A short explanation of the issue, including whether the concern is copyright, trademark, privacy, factual accuracy, copied source text, or another rights or business concern.
How We Respond
We aim to acknowledge complete notices within 2 business days. If the notice gives us enough information to identify the disputed content, we will review it and may temporarily remove, disable, or de-index the content while we check the source.
For straightforward requests, we aim to resolve the issue within 10 business days by removing the content, replacing an image, rewriting copied source text, correcting inaccurate information, updating attribution or links, or confirming why no change is being made. More complex requests may take longer, especially if we need additional information from the person reporting the content or from the brand, retailer, supplier, or source we referenced.
If we remove content and later determine that the notice was incomplete, mistaken, or not supported by the available information, we may restore the content or publish a corrected version. Repeated, abusive, or knowingly false notices may limit our ability to respond to future requests from the same sender.
